Former US Secretary of Homeland Security and Pennsylvania Governor the Honorable Tom Ridge Endorses Walker Stapleton’s Campaign for Colorado Treasurer
DENVER— The campaign for Walker Stapleton for Colorado State Treasurer announced today that Tom Ridge, the nation’s first secretary of Homeland Security and former governor of Pennsylvania, will appear in Denver on Tuesday, April 27, at an event in support of Mr. Stapleton’s bid for State Treasurer.
“Whether in the nation’s capitol or a state capitol, it’s always important that those who manage public funds be effective stewards of the people’s money,” said Ridge. “In my view, Walker Stapleton has the experience to manage Colorado’s funds with the transparency and accountability that we need during these challenging economic times. I look forward to my visit in support of Walker’s campaign for Colorado Treasurer.”

Lanny and Sharon Martin, Larry Mizel, Ernie Blake and Sharon Magness Blake and Greg Maffei will host the April 27th event with Secretary Ridge. Joining them will be the Hon. Marilyn Ware, recent Colorado resident and a former U.S. Ambassador.
Stapleton is a 4th generation Coloradan and CEO of a publicly traded real estate company with offices in Colorado and California. In addition to his company Stapleton has several land, retail and residential investments throughout Colorado and serves on the board of Denver Public Library Foundation. His previous work experience includes serving as a chief investment officer and chief financial officer for small businesses. Stapleton has a graduate degree in business economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Harvard University.
Stapleton, his wife Jenna and their two-year-old son, Craig, live in Greenwood Village.
